03 / The brothers behind the bins

Two brothers.
One first business.

They’re 11 and 7.
Bin Brothers was their idea.

We’re entrepreneurs, so when our sons came up with a business of their own, we saw a chance to help them learn by doing—not just by watching us.

They’re learning what a job costs, why revenue isn’t profit, and how to set money aside for taxes, pay themselves, and put some back into their business.

The lesson we care about most? When a neighbor trusts you with a job, do it well.

A note from Mom & Dad

You get cleaner bins. They get a real-world lesson in earning someone’s trust.

04 / The good questions

A few things
worth knowing.

Clean bins. Clear expectations.
That’s how we like it.

What’s included in a bin cleaning?
One scheduled inside-and-out cleaning for up to two empty, standard residential trash or recycling bins. Please tell us before signup about oversized bins or extra containers; they are not included in these plans.
Which areas do you serve?
Your service address must be in ZIP 63122 and within our two-mile radius, measured in a straight line from our local service base. Both rules must pass. We verify the address against St. Louis County address-point records before opening Stripe. A ZIP code alone does not guarantee eligibility. Future routes are planned.
Will I be charged when I sign up?
Yes. After your address passes both service-area checks, Stripe charges your first month immediately: $20 for Clean Bins, $35 for The Works, or $20 for curb-only. Your plan renews monthly until you cancel. Successful payment activates your subscription without manual review. Our family follows up with your first service details.
Do you take bins to the curb, too?
Yes. The Works includes weekly out-and-back service for up to two bins on one collection day, plus monthly cleaning. Curb-only is $20/month on its own. Both use the same ZIP and two-mile eligibility checks. Separate trash and recycling collection days are not included.
What happens when it freezes?
Cleaning may be paused or rescheduled when conditions make washing unsuitable. We pause Clean Bins billing for winter months without a cleaning. The Works continues at $20/month for curb service while winter washing is paused. If we cannot deliver an already-paid cleaning, we arrange a replacement visit or credit/refund. We notify you of seasonal changes.
How do the founding-neighbor rates work?
The first 15 eligible households receive the displayed rates for 6 calendar months from their paid signup, including the disclosed winter rate. This is a rate lock, not a 6-month minimum contract. The rate lock ending does not automatically raise your price. We share any later pricing before it takes effect.
Who handles the pressure washing?
An adult handles pressure washing. The boys participate in age-appropriate tasks with parent support. Our illustration celebrates their business idea; it is not a demonstration of how equipment is operated.
How do I manage or cancel service?
All subscribers can update their card, view invoices, and cancel in our secure Stripe customer portal. Cancel before renewal to stop the next monthly charge; cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period. Use the contact form for scheduling questions, missed service, or billing errors. Contact messages do not automatically cancel a subscription.
